CAREER AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE 
The Career and Workforce Development Centre (CWDC) offers career planning for job seekers, school students, education facilities and local employers in the Northern Adelaide Metropolitan region which includes the council areas of Tea Tree Gully, Salisbury, Playford and Port Adelaide’s Enfield and Inner East region.

As a jointly funded initiative supported by all tiers of government and the South Australia Works in the Regions program, Career and Employment Coaches can provide a range of services which can be fully subsidised.

Workforce Development - Local Businesses can benefit from listing their vacancy and having this matched to potential employees on the Northern Futures database.  An employer can interview people who have undertaken a career planning process and who understand the requirements of that industry.

School Support - For secondary schools in the Northern Adelaide Region we can provide workshops for parents and caregivers or deliver sessions for your staff around career development.  Northern Futures Career and Employment Coaches can also develop a career and personal development program to suit your students’ needs.

Client Support - Young people enrolled in school and thinking about leaving to gain full time employment, people facing redundancy, parents or caregivers returning to the workforce and those working casually looking for permanent employment can all receive support from our staff.

Career Planning – For those needing assistance developing career plans, we provide independent, personal and confidential career guidance for jobseekers and offer workshops around proven job search techniques.

Skills Training - We can provide support with applications to further study including SATAC – TAFE courses and University.  Importantly we also have direct links to a range of free training opportunities and in some instances may also be able to help partially fund the training specifically needed to commence employment.

Recognition of Prior Learning - If you have thought about getting a formal qualification and believe that your past experiences should be considered, we can assist you with gathering the evidence you need to gain recognition of prior learning, which will assist you to gain your qualification sooner.

Opportunities - In addition to this we have a well displayed “Opportunities Window” where we promote a range of exciting events, training, and employment vacancies.  We also have computers available for self directed job search that are linked to the internet.
