A key role for Northern Futures is to develop and progress State and Federal Government programs to advance education, training and workforce development in the region and aim to:
- Ensure joint ownership and solutions between State Government, Federal Government, Local Government, Industry and the Community

Working collaboratively with the City of Salisbury, the City of Playford, the City of Tea Tree Gully, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield and the City of Charles Sturt, Northern Futures has established relationships with local industry, registered training organisations, community groups and jobactive providers (Australian Government Employment Services) and Disability Employment Service.
